The decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (NPS) is a globally unprecedented challenge that involves a lot of difficulties. For this task to be implemented smoothly, it is essential to advance potential technologies that incorporate wisdom gathered from around the world and develop the required human resources to prepare for a long-term decommissioning process. It is important to promote further understanding in Japan, including the local community, and abroad regarding the R&D results and progress status of decommissioning work performed by the organizations and institutions engaged in the decommissioning.
The forum is held with the cooperation and participation of international organizations, relevant bodies and experts from Japan and abroad, local residents and students.
